My Story

From a Boy in Oron Nation
to a Platform Builder

I grew up in Oron Nation — a place known for its culture, its people, and its spirit. What it was not known for was producing full-stack software engineers who build entire digital platforms alone. That part was up to me to figure out.

My journey into technology began in 2018, not in a university computer lab or a funded bootcamp, but through sheer curiosity and the kind of stubborn self-belief that refuses to accept that opportunity only exists somewhere else. I taught myself HTML. Then CSS. Then JavaScript. Then I kept going — deeper into backends, databases, authentication systems, payment gateways, real-time communication, and everything in between.

By 2019, I was already building for clients. By 2023, I had expanded into full-stack development and mobile applications. By 2025, I was pursuing my N.D. in Computer Science at Netlite Computer School — not because I needed a certificate to prove what I could do, but because I believe in building a complete foundation.

I am resilient in a way that only comes from building things in difficult circumstances — without a team, without a big budget, without anyone handing me a roadmap. Every skill I have was earned through hours of failing, debugging, researching, and building again. That is not a weakness. That is the foundation.

The Beginning

Started teaching myself web development — HTML, CSS, JavaScript — through self-study and relentless practice

Launched first freelance projects and began building a real portfolio of delivered work

The Platform

Why I Built UYEH TECH

In October 2025, I started bringing UYEH TECH into reality — not as a portfolio piece, not as a side project to abandon in three months, but as a fully functioning digital economy platform built from the ground up, entirely alone.

The reason was straightforward. I looked at what existed — platforms that charged creators enormous commissions, affiliate systems that had no transparency, digital marketplaces that made Nigerians feel like second-class participants in their own economy — and I decided the answer was to build something better. Something honest. Something automated in a way that actually respects the people using it.

I also wanted to prove something — to myself and to anyone watching — that a solo developer with no venture capital, no team, and no shortcuts could build infrastructure that works at a professional level. Not a prototype. Not a demo. A real platform, running live, handling real transactions, serving real people.

What UYEH TECH became is a monolithic Node.js/Express backend hosted on Render, a vanilla HTML/CSS/JS frontend on Netlify, MongoDB for data, Flutterwave for payments, WebSockets for real-time chat, JWT for authentication, and Resend for transactional email. 3 distinct platform roles for frontend users. An admin dashboard with full operational control. A creator marketplace with automatic commission calculation. An affiliate system with persistent click tracking. A live chat system with a dedicated agent dashboard. A blog for contents, precisely for what is worth posting. A portfolio for self advertisement and proof of work. All of it running together, all of it built by one person.

It was not a smooth build. There were more structural bugs in the server. Fourteen dashboard issues (uyehtech.com/marketplace/dashboard). Silent database failures. Phantom function references. Every one of them was found, documented, and fixed — because that is what you do when you are the only person responsible for the thing you are building.

UYEH TECH is still growing. But it is already proof of what is possible when the vision is clear enough and the commitment is total.
